In 1884 the viaduct was inaugurated. In those days it was really a masterly performance of the engineers who built it.

Weida Vegetable Tannery

Until 1990 the tannery, which was founded in 1844, produced leather for shoes. Today, visitors can learn more about this rare trade and the local vegetable tanning history. Very worth seeing are the machines that are still working well.

Weida Iron Hammer

In 1770 the factory has been put into operation. The forge hidden in the forest used to produce anvils and hammers until it was put out of action in 1921. Today, this technical monument is privately owned.

Winding Tower 407

In the past, the Region around Ronneburg was heavily coined by mining and therefore can look back on a long tradition. The winding tower as a technical monument gives the visitors an insight into local mining industry in Ronneburg.
