Weida Osterburg CastleThis history was mainly influenced by the reeves of Weida and their descendants - the "Reußen". The historical constructions and buildings are well worth taking the time to explore, such as the "Osterburg" in Weida, the Lower and the Upper Castle in Greiz, the "Reichenfels" ruin in Hohenleuben, the "Mildenfurth" monastery in Wünschendorf, the Greiz Park, or the sole roofed timber bridge preserved in Germany in Wünschendorf date back to this time.

The Summer Palace in GreizEarly industrialization and emerging middle classes coined the cities’ architecture in the time around 1900. Classicistic and Art Nouveau buildings dominate the townscapes of Greiz and Zeulenroda.
