Reust Bismarck Tower
location: close to the village Reust (about 4 km from Ronneburg) on the Reuster Hill
To honour chancellor Bismarck, many Bismarck pillars and towers have been built at the end of the 19th century. In the dukedom Sachsen-Altenburg, Reuster Hill was chosen to get a Bismarck Tower which was completed after a period of 13 years. The upper part contains a platform which - when the weather is fine-offers a wonderful view up to the Völkerschlachtdenkmal in Leipzig and to the Erzgebirge.
