Zenta Oak
location: Upper Castle of Greiz
The so called "Zenta Oak" on the Upper Castle of Greiz was planted in memory of the horse of Heinrich VI.: It brought his master back home after he had been heavily wounded in a battle.
Berga Oak
location: centre of Berga
The centuries old oak is one of the symbols that coin the town’s centre. The Berga Oak, as a symbol of power and toughness, has been chosen to appear in the town’s coat of arms.
Schwaara Owl Heads
location: Schwaara
The fossils that look like shells are often found in Schwaara. In the past, superstitious people were not able to understand what they found and so in the vernacular, these shells are called owl or toad heads.
