Vogtland Cuisine
The cuisine from Thuringia and Vogtland is famed throughout Germany. Many tasty dishes originate from this region. In addition to the universally celebrated Thuringian Vogtland sausage, made as a speciality by the butchers in the Thuringian Vogtland, there is a
whole range of local delicacies on offer e.g. Grüne Klöße (green dumplings), Sauerbraten (marinated beef), Karpfen "blau" ("rare" carp) or the popular Röhrendetscher.
